News & Updates: May 2019
My apologies to visitors to the Foster Images web site for any confusion caused by updates to the print-on-demand merchant site. The publishers at Photo4Me have rationalised the range of size options in order to negotiate the best prices with framers. This means that images that vary too widely from a more restricted choice of aspect ratios (especially extreme panos) have been deleted from the merchant site, rendering the links to Purchase Options inactive. Now that the dust has settled I have weeded out relevant images and bad links.
On a more positive note, colour analytic charts have been added to the Foster Images galleries. These are intended as an aid to interior design and images/colour scheme matching. If you have yet to visit the site, it is worth noting that there is more on offer than print-on-demand images for sale. See the Options page:
"Whether you are looking for wall art to display in business or public areas, or simply for a gift or a memento of Pembrokeshire, I would be happy to add appropriate images to my Photo4Me portfolio. Please let me know if anything catches your eye from my Coast Path Photo Itineraries or my Flickr Photostream and I will process and upload a print-ready image from the original data file. Alternatively, if you have a particular Pembrokeshire location in mind I will trawl my extensive photo library or, in default, do my utmost to capture a suitable image to meet your requirements. It all adds to the portfolio and library!"

News & Updates: February 2017
Our Coast Path Photo Itineraries creep forward at their usual petty pace. It is worth mentioning that the stats show we are consistently serving 400+ pages per week to more than 150 visitors, even though cobblers' children have very little time to spend on Search Engine Optimisation. The figures indicate that the coast path sections are useful and engaging to our site visitors, with an average of 3 to 4 pages served per visit. You might consider that a link might add to the value your own web site. You're welcome! Yere 'tis: BFA Coast Path Photo Itineraries.

News & Updates: March 2014
Very old news, but retained for those of you who may be curious about the Share Wales web site.
February 2014 saw the completion of a two-year editorial contract with Visit Wales:Share Wales, part of the Welsh Government's Digital Tourism Business Framework project [DTBF]. The main objective of DTBF was (and remains) to move the tourism industry in Wales further towards digital maturity by the end of 2014. To this end the project team delivered a full complement of 750 ICT Diagnostics to individual businesses and supported some 50 innovative digital projects, 35 of which moved on from initial feasibility to the implementation stage.
As Share Wales Editor, Barrie Foster's main role lay with building and sustaining the user-facing elements of the web site. Responsibilities included maintaining and contributing content to the Blog and News pages, promoting digital assistance initiatives, explanatory guides and training opportunities, and encouraging content sharing activity. This last included the Visit Wales:Share Wales Flickr Group, which had built up membership of more than 500 contributors and featured more than 8,600 images by end of contract. More generally, the Editor was charged with bringing guidance, new developments and initiatives to the attention of the tourism trade in Wales, and with 'horizon scanning' the digital environment, for businesses of all sizes and at whatever their stage of online development.
Check back regularly for news from BFA on new developments.
I am always happy to discuss new commissions and contracts with potential clients who feel that the experience summarised on these pages may be beneficial to their aims and objectives. In the meantime I shall be continuing to add to my already substantial photo library and spending a little more time on developing and updating this web site - always the last call on a freelancer's attention when the workload is full to overflowing!
